I Heart Quilting Block – RBD Block Challenge

You are going to just adore this week’s block – it is the I Heart Quilting Block in the RBD Block Challenge!

Isn’t this the sweetest block?! The I Heart Quilting block is designed by Kelli Fannin. She is an amazing quilt designer and she also has the cutest pun fabric and notions! This little heart block with the star center is such a great addition to the RBD Block Challenge mystery quilt.

I am using Stardust fabric for my blocks! I decided to do a little fussy cutting for my heart center so I chose a little pink flamingo for the block. (you’re shocked, I know). I love how the star sets the center block off.

I’m adding a little Sashiko stitching to each of my blocks with my Baby Lock Sashiko machine. For this block I decided to highlight each of the little star points. The gold stitching is such a fun addition to the star.

For the main portion of the heart, I used my Butterscotch floral print. I am really loving sewing with these gold prints. You can find Stardust fabric in stores now. Check out my Stardust fabric shops list for places carrying it!
