I have such a fun new quilt to show off today! This Merry Little Houses Quilt is from the Holiday Celebrations Book by Pat Sloan – it is such a great book!
Pat Sloan’s newest book, Holiday Celebrations, is full of projects for all the seasons! There are so many great quilts and other things to make. You can find quilts of course but there are also smaller projects as well. I have so many on my “to-make” list!
I love the quilt on the cover – it is such a great Patriotic quilt but I think it would look good in lots of different prints! These are just a few of the other great projects!
They are all amazing! I chose to make the Merry Little Houses Quilt from the book and I used Christmas Adventure – my fabric collection coming out this month! Here is Pat’s version of the quilt:
And here is mine!
Merry Little Houses Quilt – Holiday Celebrations Book
These little houses are so much fun to sew!! You can fussy cut the windows, roofs, really every part of it!
I used Blossom in White and Red for my background – it makes a great backdrop for the little houses. I also added an additional 2 1/2″ strip background border to my quilt. I wanted mine to be just a bit larger. It really sets off those little half square triangles on the border too!
Here’s all the info in one handy place!
- Quilt: Merry Little Houses from Holiday Celebrations
- Fabric: Christmas Adventure (shipping this month) and Blossom in White and Red
- Quilting – Lady Belle Quilting – she used a darling Christmas Lights digital design
You can find Holiday Celebrations in quilt stores, Amazon, Barnes and Noble and more! You will also want to follow Pat Sloan -she is an amazing quilter and teacher! You can find her on her website, Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram.
There are lots of great giveaways as part of this book tour!! You can head over to Martingale and enter to win the grand prize – a big assortment of quilting things!
***Giveaway is now closed. The winner is Roxy Sherburne!***
