It’s another new week in the Riley Blake Mystery Challenge and this block is so gorgeous! This week we’re sewing up the Ocean Waves Quilt Block – RBD Block Challenge!
The RBD Block Challenge is a fun mystery quilt hosted by Riley Blake Designs, with blocks designed by different Riley Blake designers! This week the block is designed by the super talented Rachel Erickson from Citrus and Mint. It’s called the Ocean Waves block and it is so fun to sew up!
I’m using my new Stardust fabrics for the RBD Block Challenge quilt! They will be in stores later this month – I’m having so much fun making up this quilt with them! For this block, I used two of my main Stardust prints and the center is made with the Butterscotch tiny floral! I’m using Vintage White for my background of all my blocks!

I’m adding Sashiko stitching with my Baby Lock Sashiko machine to all the blocks. For this one I added a little stitching to every background piece! I love the texture it adds.
You can see the gold glitter on the main prints here too!
