I’m joining in with a fun new Halloween Sew Along hosted by Fat Quarter Shop! This week is the Boo Crew Mystery Quilt Week 1!
This is going to be such a fun and FREE mystery quilt! Starting this week, the Fat Quarter Shop is releasing a free section of the quilt for three weeks, then the last week they will release the final layout. You are going to love this fun Halloween Quilt!
Fat Quarter Shop does a Halloween and Christmas mystery quilt along each year. For the last couple of years, I’ve joined in with the Christmas sew alongs, the Jelly Snowflake Quilt, and the All the Trimmings Quilt. This is my first year sewing along with the Halloween quilt!
For this first week, the blocks we are making up are this great Witch Hat at Broom! They are so fun to sew up.
Fat Quarter Shop is releasing their blocks in a different fabric collection that I am using, you can find a kit for their quilt here. I’m sewing with Bad to the Bone by My Mind’s Eye for Riley Blake Designs. It’s a great Halloween collection. I wanted to change up my background just a bit so I am using a fun jade green by Riley Blake Designs called Rainforest. I have always loved jade and orange together, so I’m excited to see this quilt come together!

Can you please tell me where I find the pattern for the first blocks? I only see the fabric requirements on the website. Or hasn’t it been released yet?
Thank you very much in advance. Kathrin

Hi Kathrin! If you scroll down past that on the page (https://blog.fatquartershop.com/boo-crew-mystery-quilt-and-stitch-along/) you will see a section just below the text “Boo Crew Pattern Releases”. There is a photo of the quilt or stitch; below that are the release dates and links to the patterns. I hope that helps!
