Can you believe we’re on the RBD Block Challenge Block 13?? This year’s sew along has been amazing! This week’s block is the Garden Patch block from Minki Kim.

This sweet block is fast and fun to sew! It has a great style, and you can use several fabrics or just a few. This cute block would be a great addition to the back of a quilt, a runner, or even a jean jacket!

I’m using my Afternoon Tea fabrics for the quilt and my Dainty Daisy Peony on Cloud low volume as the background. For this block, I chose the blue floral main as the corners, the coral sketches as the bars and the tea leaves and green and the cross stitch print as the center highlights. I love how this block lets you use different prints, but they still all look great together.

Here are my other blocks in the series so far.

You can have a lot of fun and share your blocks in the RBD Block Challenge Facebook Group and there is still plenty of time to join in! I love seeing what fabrics others are using for the quilt. Riley Blake Designs will show the blocks in two fabrics, their Confetti Cottons Solids and their batiks.
