It is time for a new block in the Riley Blake Designs Mystery Quilt! This is the RBD Block Challenge Block 11, designed by Amber Johnson!
This new block is called Square Peg, and it’s such a fun one to sew! It also has lots of fun print options. I’m using my Afternoon Tea fabrics for the quilt and my Dainty Daisy Peony on Cloud low volume as the background. I chose the dark red from the collection as the center blocks, and I love how they stand out against the lighter pinks and greens.
Here are my other blocks in the series so far.
- RBD Block Challenge Block 1 – Vintage Delight Block by Lori Holt
- RBD Block Challenge Block 2 – Sparkle and Shine block by ME! :)
- RBD Block Challenge Block 3 – Daylesford Block by Amy Smart
- RBD Block Challenge Block 4 – Framed Star Block by Fran Gulick
- RBD Block Challenge Block 5 – Dazzle Block by Kristy Lea
- RBD Block Challenge Block 6 – Bloom Where You Are Planted by Jennifer Long
- RBD Block Challenge Block 7 – Star Crossed Block by Heather Peterson
- RBD Block Challenge Block 8 – Glisten by Jill Finley
- RBD Block Challenge Block 9 – Woven Together by Sue Daley

You can have a lot of fun and share your blocks in the RBD Block Challenge Facebook Group and there is still plenty of time to join in! I love seeing what fabrics others are using for the quilt. Riley Blake Designs will show the blocks in two fabrics, their Confetti Cottons Solids and their batiks.

I too am using your Afternoon Tea fabric and would like to know which fabric and how much of each that you will be using for finishing.
I am really loving the way your fabric looks on all the blocks, so anxious to get it finished. Not sure which fabric I’m going to use for that backing but want to at least get the fabric I will need for finishing the top, thanks so much for your help.
