We are sewing up another portion of our fun Lori Holt quilts this week – this is the Quilted Witch Sew Along Broom Block!
Last week we made up the broomstick and boots for our cute witch – this week we are finishing out the broom with this cute little curly broom section. It has fun little flying geese on it too – I love the way they accent the broom.
I’m using my Riley Blake Designs’ basic, Dainty Daisy for this quilt. For this portion of the broom I used the butterscotch color and the flying geese are the Honey colorway. The background of this quilt is my low volume Dainty Daisy Honey on Cloud.
Here are the other sections of the quilt so far:
- Cackle Star
- Candy Star
- Churn Dash Stars
- Magic Star Blocks (I’m going to make these as I go)
- Shoo Fly Stars
- Twinkle Stars
- Hat Block
- Head Block
- Blouse Section
- Dress
- Boots and Broomstick
Quilted Witch Sew Along Broom
You can find all the information on the sew along on the Fat Quarter Shop blog, including the schedule and details on the Stitch Along. You can cross-stitch up a version of this fun quilt too! There are still several months left, so there is plenty of time to join in. You can sew with Dainty Daisy or a Lori Holt collection, or even grab from your stash. This quilt is perfect for stash-busting!
