We have another fun block in the Quilted Witch Sew along this week – it’s the Witch’s Head Block!
I’m so excited we are sewing up the Witch blocks in the Quilted Witch Quilt along now! We’ve been making stars for a few months and last week we made up the hat – and now we have a cute witch’s head to go under it! I especially like her flowing locks – that hair is just too fabulous!
Here are my blocks in the sew along so far!
- Cackle Star
- Candy Star
- Churn Dash Stars
- Magic Star Blocks (I’m going to make these as I go)
- Shoo Fly Stars
- Twinkle Stars
- Hat Block
For this quilt, I’m using my Dainty Daisy basic with Riley Blake Designs, including the new colors that were just released. For this block I used the Honey color for her face and the Pumpkin color for her hair. And the background of the whole quilt is one of the new low-volume prints – the Honey on Cloud. The background is a soft slightly off white with little golden flowers. It’s so fun!

You can also see the darling Quilted Witch needle minder I picked up!! It’s so fun and I love her colorful little dress! It’s a nice big one too – I am going to use it to hold my embroidery scissors while I’m not using them!
You can find all the information on the sew along on the Fat Quarter Shop blog, including the schedule and details on the Stitch Along. You can cross-stitch up a version of this fun quilt too! There are still several months left, so there is plenty of time to join in. You can sew with Dainty Daisy or a Lori Holt collection, or even grab from your stash. This quilt is perfect for stash-busting!
