Are you sewing along with us?! I’m having a blast joining in with Fat Quarter Shop’s current quilt along! This week is the Boo Crew Mystery Halloween Quilt Week 2!
Fat Quarter Shop is hosting a mystery Halloween sew along this month, with patterns for cute Halloween blocks and a layout at the end for a fabulous free Halloween quilt!
Last week was the first week in the sew along and we made up a darling Witch Hat and Broom. You can find those blocks here!
I am sewing along with Riley Blake’s Bad to the Bone fabrics and I’m using a great Confetti Cotton called Rainforest. I’m loving this combo. It’s a little hard to see in the photos, but for the ghost block, I used the white spiderweb print. It has a subtle web design in a silver glitter print. It’s amazing!
Boo Crew Mystery Halloween Quilt Week 2
I did a little bit of fussy cutting on the candle block. I had to add in one of the little dancing skeletons! I think he looks like he’s jumping over the candlestick. :)
I had to make up a few little stuffed pumpkins that match my quilt blocks! I used some of my leftover fabrics and made three different-sized pumpkins. You can find my fabric pumpkin tutorial here.
Here’s the video tutorial:
You can still join in with the quilt along and the stitch along! You can follow along on social media with the hashtags #BooCrewQAL and #BooCrewSAL. There are so many great versions and lots of inspiration!

I’m sewing along with the Boo Crew quilt along and really enjoying it. I’m using the fabric kit from FQS, and the blocks are really cute. But I wanted to tell you how much I LOVE the fabric that you are using in your blocks, especially the background color. Your blocks are so whimsical, Beverly!
