This week in the Sewcialites 3 sew along, we’re stitching up the sweetest little block — Little Love by Vanessa Goertzen of Lella Boutique! And honestly, the name could not be more perfect. This block is such a charming mix of classic patchwork and a soft, romantic heart that just makes you smile.

I’m still sewing along with my Correspondence collection, and this block feels right at home with all those pretty florals and soft vintage-inspired prints. The heart center is such a fun focal point — I love how the envelope prints give it that “love note” feel, like a sweet little message tucked right into the quilt. 💌

The piecing on this one is really satisfying — it has that structured, geometric frame that lets the heart shine without being too fussy. It’s one of those blocks that looks intricate but comes together in a really simple way, which is always my favorite combination!

I also love how this block adds a softer, more romantic moment to the quilt layout. With all the different designers and styles in Sewcialites, it’s so fun to see how each block brings its own personality — and this one definitely leans into all the cozy, heartfelt vibes.

If you’re sewing along, I’d love to hear what fabrics you chose for your heart — did you go bold, scrappy, or something soft and sweet? Be sure to share your blocks and tag me so I can see your version!
You can find the free pattern for this week’s block over at Fat Quarter Shop, and don’t forget to join the Sewcialites Facebook group to see all the beautiful blocks everyone is making.
Happy stitching, friends — sending a little love your way with this one! 💕
