We have a new block in the Sewcialites 2 Sew Along – Block 7! This darling Butterfly Garden Block is designed by the amazing Pat Sloan and it’s so fun to sew!
Fat Quarter Shop is hosting this fun and free Sewcialites 2 sew along, and there is still plenty of time to sew along and join in. There are free video tutorials each week too! Each week a different block is released, and each block is designed by a different designer.
This week’s block is the Butterfly Garden Block, designed by the amazing Pat Sloan. I love the patchwork look of the block!
Sewcialites 2 Sew Along Block 7
I am sewing along with my Daisy Fields collection, and I am making up the 3″ and the 9″ finished blocks. I’m excited to have two different sizes of the same quilt! I am using the Scattered Hexie print in Sand Dollar as the background. The little hexies have a gold shimmer, so the quilt blocks have a fun sparkle.
The 9″ block went together great, and though the 3″ size is always a little trickier, I’m happy with how this one turned out. I pressed all my seams open and shortened my stitch length a bit for that one.

Wow, my FAVORITE of all the Block 7’s I’ve seen, and since I am sewing my socialites with Daisy Fields, and Enchanted Meadows, I lucked out! I hope you don’t mind if I copy your colors on this block. Love all your stuff!
