I have a fun new pillow pattern for you today! This Moonlight Serenade Free Pillow Pattern is so quick to sew up and it makes such a gorgeous decoration for your sofa!

Don’t you love fun throw pillows? They are one of my favorite ways to do quick decoration changes for different seasons or just because I feel like it! I especially love pillows that are cute and quick to make! This pillow can be adjusted for any style or color scheme. You can even make a holiday version – with Christmas, Halloween, or Patriotic fabric!

I made up this first version of the Moonlight Serenade Pillow in Stardust Fabric for a fun vintage-style look. I used the main Mist floral as the center and fussy cut one of the florals then I added some complimentary prints around for the different pieces!
Moonlight Serenade Free Pillow Pattern

I can’t wait to see your versions of this fun pillow pattern!
The pattern works great for precuts – I used a 5″ stacker for the main portion of the pillow, along with a little extra fabric for the border and then background fabric and backing! I also made an envelope back for the pillow – though you can do any type of backing and closure you’d like. The instructions in the pattern are for a traditional one-piece back.
If you’d like to make an envelope back, follow the instructions in my Patchwork Pillow Tutorial!

Thanks, Bev, for the free pattern! My “Swinging in the Stars” quilt top is getting quilted this week. Can’t wait to see it. I chose a camellia flower pattern to complement the larger flowers in the Stardust fabric. —Danica
