I am all about hoop art. You probably know this. I’ll pretty much put them everywhere – they add something so fun and whimsical to walls and décor.
I love the idea of adding them to the table too – so today I have these new Easter Bunny Hoop Art Place Cards for you!
Because if you can put cute little bunnies on your Easter table, that also double as décor, why wouldn’t you?
These little hoops make such fun place cards but you could also just make one up as a Spring decoration – or even as gifts for teachers and friends!
Pom pom bunny tails make me smile. Especially when they’re all gold and glittery! Also on the list of things that make me smile: ruffles, vintage fabrics and wee tiny buntings. It’s like the trifecta of cuteness all in one hoop.
I would also like to point out that the name tag is stamped – not embroidered. Let me confess that it took me about . . . oh . . . 17 attempts to get the name so that it looked halfway decent. It’s ok to laugh. My letters were all wonky and too far apart or two close together. I need to go to remedial stamping or something. Or just go back to embroidering everything.
So let’s dive in! These are fast and easy – and no-sew (almost)!!
Here’s what you’ll need for ONE hoop.
- one 5″ wood hoop
- Linen fabric – a piece a little bigger than the hoop
- fabric scraps for bunny, bunting, and name card
- fusible webbing and glue
- twine, ribbon and lace trim
- pom pom for tail
- felt for back of hoop
- ruffle trim for back of hoop
- stamps and ink for name card
Cut a piece of linen a little larger than your hoop
Glue a length of lace trim along the bottom of the fabric – using your hoop as a guide for placement.
Choose a bunny shape that you like (there are tons online or you can draw one out). Iron a piece of fusible webbing on the back of your bunny fabric, then cut the bunny out. Fuse the bunny piece to your background fabric, a little off center.
Sew (or glue) the bunny tail pom pom in place.
Cut five tiny circles and fuse them in half around a small piece of bakers twine. This will be your little bunting so check the length to make sure it fits on the hoop above the bunny.
Place the bunting above the bunny on the left side of the fabric. Place the fabric and bunting in the hoop.
Trim your fabric and twine and glue to the back side of the hoop.
Glue a length of ruffle trim to the back side of the hoop. On a 5″ hoop you’ll need just a little less than a half a yard.
Cut a small piece of solid fabric in the shape of a tag and fuse it to a piece of printed fabric a little larger than the tag. Stamp the name on the tag. If you are stamping impaired like me, I highly suggest practicing a few (zillion) times on some scrap paper first.
Punch a small hole in the fabric and loop a piece of bakers twine through the hole.
Tie the tag to one end of side of the top of the hoop and then tie a pretty ribbon around the top to hide it, and as a bit of extra color.
And that’s it! You know have a super sweet little place card – it will be quick to make up one for everyone for Easter Brunch! Or you can just hang it on your wall for some Spring décor!
I hope you give it a try!

It’s ok, these kind of tamped letter things are supposed to be a bit wonky – just say that is what you were going for! I actually love to hear that you have issues with your projects too occasionally (just like the rest of us) makes me feel better!
