I am having a blast sewing up this sweet table runner with you! This week we are making up the Day Dream Table Runner Sew Along Block 2!
Last week we made up Block 1 in this sweet table runner and this week we are making up two versions of Block 2! These are a fun patchwork style block that you can customize with different fabrics or even some fussy cutting.
I’ve made my blocks symmetrical but you can make them scrappy or exactly the same. These will go on either side of the center star block!

I added more Sashiko stitching to the blocks with my Baby Lock Sashiko machine. I think it adds a fun outline for the blocks and really sets them off!
I am using Holly Holiday from Christopher Thompson and Riley Blake Designs. This is such a fabulous collection!
There is still plenty of time for you to sew along with us! You can find the pattern for the Day Dream Runner at Fat Quarter Shop. It’s a PDF so super easy to download and dive in!

It has been so fun seeing all the different versions of the runner that people are making! You can see them in my Facebook Group. You will need to pick up the pattern to sew along but I’ll be doing a video tutorial each week for the blocks and assembly with all sorts of tips! You can check out the videos in my Facebook Group or on YouTube. You can also watch the Block 2 video here!

I absolutely ❤️ this fabric collection, and have actually purchased several of these in fat quarters for a much smaller project! My question is this…I am a COMPLETE BEGINNER as a quilter, having just learned to make cute coasters! Are the tutorial videos and patterns available long after the QAL is over? I would love to make this for next year, but my skill level isn’t quite ready to tackle it now!
Thanks so much! Happy stitching!
