I have such a fun project today! I have a new free pattern for you – my new Birdhouse Lane Table Runner.
I’ve been wanting to make a new version of my Neighborhood Table Runner and I thought my Melody fabrics would be a great way to change the design a bit. Instead of little houses, I’ve made this version with sweet little Birdhouses – so I renamed it Birdhouse Lane.
I think it’s fun for Spring, but really it would be so cute to have out all year long.
The fun thing about this runner is that it is perfect for a 5″ stacker! You can use any 5″ stacker, but Melody has darling bird prints that are perfect for the little windows on the birdhouses, so you can fussy cut away.
This runner is made with raw edge applique, but don’t let it worry you even if you’ve never done that. Except for the little windows, these are all straight lines, so you can even leave your presser foot on if you don’t want to free-motion the lines. You can customize the houses, too, with additional details, trims, or even embroidery.
