Get all dressed up with this Bowdacious Block! This is the 2025 RBD Block Challenge Block 8 and this sweet block is so much fun to sew!
Karen Walker designed this week’s block, and I love how showy it is! It’s a giant bow with a little square center, and it’s just perfect for showing off your fabrics. I think it makes a great addition to the RBD Block Challenge too – it’s different from those blocks with all the tiny pieces so it really adds interest and fun to the sampler.
I’m making this year’s quilt in my Melody fabrics – here are my blocks so far.
- Block 1: Bloom and Grow
- Block 2: Around the Corner
- Block 3: Rose Among Thorns
- Block 4: Twirl
- Block 5: Flower Patch
- Block 6: Starburst Block
- Block 7: Irish Spring
For this block, I chose the Flower Fields print in Colonial Blue and Beehive colors. You could make a whole cute quilt using this block in different colors!
