It’s time for the 2025 RBD Block Challenge Block 10 – this is the Cat in the Corner block from Janet Wecker Fresch.
I’m having so much fun with this sew-along! It’s been a blast sewing with my Melody fabrics and choosing what prints to use. This block has such a fun design, and I love the way the design points in towards the center. I had initially planned to just have the center be background fabric, but I couldn’t resist adding a little blue bird.
For this block, I used the Blue Main, the blue vines, and the blue geo print, and for the center, I added the white bird print as a little fussy cut. I’m not sure if I should have made the whole diamond in the center that same print – it might have looked nice. What do you think?
