It’s time for Up on the Rooftop Quilt Week 2! This is the second week in the Fat Quarter Shop quilt along and we have another cute section of the quilt this week.
Last week Fat Quarter shop kicked off a new mystery Christmas quilt along and I couldn’t resist sewing along! I have a new Christmas collection, Mistletoe and Holly, and this seemed like the perfect project to use it with.
Each week they are releasing a section of the pattern and this week the section is made up of a little Christmas “bouquet” – a tiny flower and little leaves. It’s a fast and fun section to sew.
I used red and green prints from Mistletoe and Holly for the row and I’m using my Dainty Daisy Gray on Cloud low volume as the background. The little gray flowers look like snowflakes!
You can find a kit for the mystery quilt at Fat Quarter Shop – they are using a different collection and a dark background so it’s a fun option if you like dark backgrounds.
