I am joining in with a new mystery sew along from Fat Quarter Shop and today we are kicking things off! This is the Up on the Rooftop Quilt Week 1 and each week over the next few weeks we’ll be sewing up and sharing a section of this fun quilt.

I’ve sewn along with the Fat Quarter Shop Christmas in July quilt over the last few years and I love all their sew alongs! I couldn’t resist participating this year as well. You can never have enough Christmas quilts right?
This year’s sew-along is called Up on the Rooftop, and we’ll be sharing a section each week from now until August 12. You don’t want to miss out – this free sew along is going to be a blast. I’m joining in this year with my new Christmas collection, Mistletoe and Holly. I’m using my Dainty Daisy Gray on Cloud as the background, and I love the subtle little gray flowers that show up on the background.

This first section is a row of little words – Ho Ho Ho! It looks sooo cute all sewn up, the red is really standing out against the white an dit’s so fun!

You can find a kit for the mystery quilt at Fat Quarter Shop – they are using a different collection and a dark background so it’s a fun option if you like dark backgrounds.
At the link below you’ll find the pattern for each week along with the kit and extra supplies you might like to pick up!

There is also a free cross stitch along that coordinates with the quilt. You can make up one or both and have a fun project all finished in time for Christmas!

I agree.
I made one of your Christmas quilts a few years ago. Every year we have had so much fun pulling it out for our grandkids to cuddle with. This current Christmas quilt will bring lots of joy to many famlies. I always look forward to your emails because you always have such beautiful things.
