I am so happy to be joining in with Fat Quarter Shop’s newest sew along and this darling quilt. This week is the Support Group Sew Along Week 1!
Lori Holt designed the Support Group quilt to honor her mother, who survived breast cancer. These sweet bras are so darling!
Fat Quarter Shop is doing the Support Group quilt along to raise awareness for breast cancer and to have a fundraiser for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. You can read more about how to donate here.
I’m sewing along for my friend Jaime. She was an amazing person – the most positive, happy person I’ve ever known. She lost her cancer fight and passed away a few years ago and I miss her so much. I’m making this quilt in honor of her!
Support Group Sew Along Week 1
I love Lori’s version so much! I wanted to change my quilt up a little. I am sewing with my Dainty Daisy in Denim as the background, and I’m using the pastel florals from my Enchanted Meadow collection as the bra prints. I am loving how these first blocks turned out! You can find all the fabrics I’m using at Fat Quarter Shop! If you want to make up your quilt using the same fabrics as the sample, you can find the Support Group kit here, as well as the quilt and cross stitch patterns!
Each week for the next several weeks, we’ll be making the blocks from each row in the quilt. I’m looking forward to picking out the Enchanted Meadow floral prints to use for each block.
There are so many talented quilters and stitching joining in! You can find everyone’s info here:
I can’t wait to see your Support Group Sew Along Week 1 blocks!
