I’ve mentioned that I want to step up my quilting game this year! And I’ve finding that the more I work on piecing and quilting, the more accurate I get. Yay for that!
I decided that one of the best ways to work on learning new quilting skills was to try making more mini quilt. I discovered that Westwood Acres Fabric has a mini quilt club and it’s been a blast! Every month they send you a kit with everything you need to make the mini quilt, plus a fun notion that goes well with the kit.
I have loved all the kits but I haven’t had time to make any. But when this Strawberry Biscuit fabric kit arrived, I knew I’d have to make this first. How cute is this fabric?? It’s so vintagey and colorful!
I quilted it with mostly straight lines but I added in a few flowers at each of the corners and in the white centers. They were easy to do, just little free motion flowers. I added leaves to the lines in the white sections as well.
The backing is this fabulous gingham! And I added little corner pockets so I can hang the quilt easily from a dowel.
I think when I get more mini quilts made up I’ll put together a little gallery wall! They’re all so fun and colorful.
This isn’t sponsored at all, I just wanted to share the cute quilts with you! If you’re in the Mini Quilt club I’d love to know. I can’t wait to sew up more of the kits.

Sorry for any confusion but I didn’t advertise this as a free pattern, I think someone else shared it and added that phrase. I’m just sharing my version of the Westwood Acres mini quilt. They do still have kits available if you’d like to contact them. Hope that helps!
