Despite the fact that I spend my days in social media, I’m actually a pretty shy person.
Usually I can power through and work through that, but I have a harder time before big events. Like blog conferences, meetings, etc. I get really nervous.
I mean. Really. Nervous.
Usually when I get nervous, it affects my stomach and I am not hungry at all. It’s a trait I seem to have passed on to my daughter.
We’ve often struggled with her not wanting to eat before big tests at school at events like tests or plays. She gets nervous and doesn’t want a lot in her stomach, and I don’t usually press the issue since I know exactly how she feels. But I also know that it isn’t a great idea to skip meals, especially once you get to the big event, test, or whatever and figure out there wasn’t really anything to be nervous about after all, and that you’re also super hungry.
Having something on hand that is easy to prepare and mild to eat would be great on those days.
Kellogg’s Rice Krispies has become my go to breakfast on days like that. It’s so mild and yummy too – plus it is so easy to fix up a bowl with some fruit added and an herbal tea. Usually before an event I have a lot on my mind and fixing something complicated is not going to happen.

I totally get a nervous stomach before big events. When I was younger, tests & dance competitions/recitals got my tummy all worked up. It’s better now, but I still have a nervous tummy. Rice Krispies is a great idea for a mild & easy breakfast! Plus who doesn’t like rice Krispy treats?! ;)

Nervous Stomachs are probably more common than we think ;) Rice Krispies are certainly a mild enough meal to eat. We LOVE them :)
Thanks for sharing this with us.

Oh girl, I am the SAME way. Super shy then I don’t shut up when you get to know me. ;) But I am terrible about skipping breakfast, especially when I’m feeling nervous. My boys love Rice Krispies though. They put their ears to the bowl!
