Are you excited about the big game in two weeks?
I am! Well. Let me clarify. I don’t mind the game – the football that is. But what I really love is all the yummy food and the commercials!
Every year we watch the game and we do it up right – lots of food and fun – whether we have friends over or it’s just the four of us. We usually have lots of appetizers and snacky, yummy things throughout the whole game. We usually do a combo of favorites and new recipes. Hot Wings, veggies, dips, all sorts of things. And for me it’s usually crafting or crocheting during the game, and perking up and watching the commercials.
So this year I thought I’d step it up a bit and make some fun decorations for our table and party, and of course share them with you!
These Football Mason Jar drinks are sooo easy to do!
All you need is some mason jars with nothing on at least one side. I cut white electrical tape strips into half and taped them into a football stitches pattern on the side of the jar. Fill them up with root beer and you have super adorable football mason jars!
I have a printable for these Game Day flags – to prevent drink swapping or confusion. You can just write on your name and attach it to the jar with a little twine. Super easy.
I also have some super cute little labels for all your yummy dishes at the party. These little football printables have extra large space in the stitches so you can write out what you’re serving. To display them I cut Styrofoam balls in half and painted them green, then taped toothpicks to the back of the footballs and stuck them in the Styrofoam.
And my other favorite part of the game – the commercials!
I did some research and checked out what companies have bought commercials for this year’s game. I put them all together in these fun Commercial Bingo printables.
Now we’re kind of bingo nuts here. I will confess that we have in the past had some pretty epic bingo games on family vacations – we even have our own bingo hopper and of course daubers. So fun. But if you don’t have daubers you can mark off the commercials with a pen or a stamp of some kind.
In the printable set I have eight different bingo cards – so if you have more than eight people at your party you’ll want to form up teams. Some of these companies have multiple commercials and some have only one – so you’ll want to pay attention!
I hope you like all the printables! This link will open another window with the printables in PDF form. You can print from there or save them to your computer.
Are you having a party for the Big Game? I’d love to hear what you have planned!
