Not entering the contest because I don’t need any more necklaces, but I just want to say that what Ashley is doing is really amazing. Those tee shirts are so cute too. I would definitely buy one if I wasn’t broke.

I try to make a difference in the lives of my 4 kids (gone from home, but still living close-by) by sending them a postcard every week. I use photos and write on the back words of encouragement, what I admire about them, something funny, and always include a Bible verse to speak to their hearts that week.

I am taking a parenting class to learn how to be a better mom, and my sewing and crafting projects typically go to kids who need some encouragement. In my most recent blog post I share about one such little darling, who passed away just yesterday of a brain tumor. I pray that each of my gifts bring joy to the recipient.

I used to bring my animals to nursing homes and a special needs facility for young adults. I really enjoyed doing this and think I got more out of it then the people I visited. I recently lost the dog that did so well with these visits. She was a natural and needed no training on how to behave. I miss her dearly.
Rachel says
This may seem silly, but my husband and I try to make our cashiers and servers whenever we are out shopping/dining. It is amazing how many people breeze by them without even saying a word!
