It’s Week 2 of Sewcialites 3, and this week’s block is the sweet Twinsies block, designed by the talented Susan Ache! I just love how this design plays with symmetry and soft contrast — it’s such a classic-feeling block with a fresh, modern twist.

If you’re new to Sewcialites, this is a free sew-along hosted by Fat Quarter Shop that brings together 25 designers from across the quilting industry. Each week, a new finished block is released in three sizes – 3″, 6″ and 9″ (you pick which to sew!), and by the end you’ll have all the pieces for a beautiful sampler quilt. It’s such a fun way to try new blocks, learn new techniques, and sew alongside quilters from all over!

For my Twinsies block, I’m continuing to sew along with my upcoming fabric collection, Correspondence. I love seeing how the soft florals and sweet low volumes play together in this design — the little pops of aqua and pink feel so fresh and springy. The symmetry in this block really lets the prints shine!

I’d love to hear what fabrics you’re using this year — are you going scrappy, pulling from your stash, or sewing along with a full collection? Let me know in the comments!
