I love sewing up classic quilt blocks! It’s such great practice and you can really have fun changing up your fabrics. I had so much fun sewing up these Rolling Star Quilt Blocks with Fat Quarter Shop!
Aren’t these great?! Fat Quarter Shop has a new quilt patttern, tutorial and video in their Classic and Vintage series – these new Rolling Star Quilt Blocks!
I used Milk and Honey fabric from Elea Lutz and Riley Blake Designs for mine. I’m so in love with this collection! It has gorgeous florals and colors – I can’t wait to finish up the whole quilt!
Isn’t this a fun block?! The quilt layout is so pretty too. You can have a lot of fun with fabric placement with this one!
You can find the free pattern on this block at Fat Quarter Shop!

They are also doing a quilt pattern with this block. It’s super cute! You can find the Rolling Star Quilt Pattern here.
I had a lot of fun sewing up other classic quilt blocks this summer in the RBD Block Challenge. It was so fun to add another classic quilt block to my list this summer!
These look a little complicated but the instructions make them so fun and they go together pretty quickly!
Have you made up this quilt block before? I would love to know how you used it!

I’d like to try this block, and your fabric choices look great. Question about the fabric, is this layer cake friendly? Or charms? Any info will be appreciated !
