It is Week Three in Fat Quarter Shop’s Christmas Mystery Quilt! This week we are sewing up the sweetest Ribbon Blocks in the All the Trimmings Quilt Along!
Fat Quarter Shop is hosting a free Christmas Mystery Quilt Along called All the Trimmings. The quilt is made up of four of the cutest rows, all with sweet Christmas elements. There is also a stitch along if you love to cross stitch! The pattern coordinates perfectly with the quilt – it makes a great set.
I had so much fun sewing up these ribbon blocks! The blocks looked complicated to sew but they actually went together really easily. I am sewing with Christmas Adventure fabric for my prints and Blossom tone on tone for my background. (affiliate links) For the tops of my ribbons, I used the pink and green ornaments print and I tied them together with the red quilty snowflake print for the base. Isn’t it fun?

I have looked high and low for a quilt pattern for my granddaughter’s bedspread that is like those ribbons. I actually have a photo but don’t know how to add to this email. I could send if you send me your actual email address. It’s 5 ribbons across top and 6 ribbons down so 30 squares of the ribbon pattern. I just have no idea how to do the ribbon pattern??? Can’t find in any block books! Can you help me? Layout & amount of material needed for for ribbon vs background per block. It would be greatly appreciated.
