Today we are starting a fun new video series and sew along – this is the Orange Pekoe Sew Along Kickoff!
My Orange Pekoe quilt is a darling vintage-inspired quilt that is made using an interfacing applique method. It makes piecing this quilt easy and fun and I’d love for you to sew it up with me!
We’ll be going through each section of the quilt in the sew along – everything from cutting, to applique, to piecing, so even if you have never made an applique quilt before, you’ll be able to do this! Here’s the schedule of our sew along.
There is no charge to join in with the sew along and you don’t need to sign up. You will need to pick up the pattern – you can find it in my shop. The pattern comes with a paper template, but you’ll find the acrylic template makes cutting SO much easier. Click here for the pattern and template. The pattern is perfect for a 10″ stacker/layer cake, so that makes picking fabrics even easier.
The quilt above is shown in my Afternoon Tea fabrics but you are welcome to sew along with any fabrics you’d like! For this sew along, I’m going to be making up another version of the quilt using the Feed My Soul collection from Sandy Gervais. I’m going to use the Navy colorway of my Dainty Daisy basic as the background and I’m really loving how the fabrics look with it.
I’ll be kicking off the sew along today on YouTube at 2 pm CT. You can join me live, or catch the video anytime later.
Come and join the fun and sew along with us!
