We are on week two of this fun applique quilt along – this is the Orange Pekoe Sew Along Cutting week!
We just kicked off my Orange Pekoe Quilt sew-along last week, and today, we are cutting out our quilts! This is such a fun quilt to cut out because we are using my orange peel template. The Orange Pekoe pattern comes with an included paper template, but you can purchase my acrylic template to make cutting even easier. I’ll be going over tips for using both the paper and acrylic versions in this week’s video.
I originally made this quilt up in my Afternoon Tea fabrics and I love that version. I wanted to do something different this time so I’m sewing with the collection from Sandy Gervais called Feed My Soul. I’m pairing that with my Navy Dainty Daisy basic and I am loving how the colors look against that navy background.
In this week’s video, I’ll be going over all the tips for cutting out the pieces as well as talking about the interfacing I’ll be using for the quilt. I’ll be Live on July 1 at 2 pm CT, but if you can’t join us live, you can catch the video any time later.
