We’re having a little Halloween sewing party, and you’re invited! I’m joining Christopher of The Tattooed Quilter and Amanda of Jedi Craft Girl to share three free Halloween runners today. Mine is the Holly Haunting Runner, featuring my sweet little ghost with her bow and two coordinating star blocks. She’s dressed for the occasion, and I think she’s ready to haunt the snack table!

Meet Holly Haunting
I love a little sweetness mixed in with my Halloween sewing, and Holly fits right in! With her darling bow and a star on either side, she makes such a fun centerpiece for a Halloween table. You could also display this runner on a console table or add it to a favorite spot that needs a little spooky stitching.

I sewed my runner with my Dainty Daisy fabrics, using Licorice, Pumpkin, and Iron, along with Licorice on Cloud as the light fabric. I love how those little daisies work for Halloween! The orange, black, and gray give the runner a classic Halloween look, while the tiny flowers keep everything sweet and a little quirky.

A Few Spooky Flowers
For the quilting, I used the Spooky Flower Garden design from Sew Shabby Quilting. It’s such a fun finishing touch for this little ghost and her patchwork stars!
I can’t wait to put this runner out. Though I’m already thinking Holly might need to stay around a little longer than Halloween. A ghost with a bow can count as everyday décor, right?

Three Runners, So Many Possibilities!
Amanda and Christopher are each sharing a Halloween runner today, too! We’ve all used different fabrics, so be sure to visit their posts to see how everything came together. There is so much inspiration, and it’s always fun to see how fabric choices give a project its own personality.
You can make the runners just as we’ve shared them or gather up these darling Halloween blocks and use them in your own projects. Mix them into a pillow, stitch up a mini quilt, or plan a whole quilt full of Halloween friends!
