Our Sewing Machine Love quilt is taking shape, and this week we’re sewing up the sewing machine! We’re taking the hearts and spool from last week and putting them together with the rest of the machine. It’s so fun to see those first little pieces become part of the bigger design!
Though calling this a “block” feels a little funny—it measures 36″ x 40″! This is one big sewing machine, and I’m a bit obsessed with how it turned out.
I’m sewing along with Minki Kim’s Cotton Nook collection, and I love seeing these sweet florals come together. The green and pink are such a pretty combination, and that fussy-cut floral spool makes me smile. Now I’m thinking I need an actual green and pink floral sewing machine. That’s a reasonable addition to the sewing room, right? Haha!
