I’ve decided to change up my quilt – last month I did a regular applique flower but I’ve decided to change over to the free motion applique. I just love the look and the outlining of the flower this way. So I’ll redo Block 1 before putting the quilt together. This sweet flower was so fun to make!

I have been making yard ornaments. My next project going is a scrappy quilt curtain for my craft room – it’s done with half square triangles – my way of learning to quilt more – have been self teaching for the last couple years. I also paint, crochet, embroider, cross stitch, wood burn, mirror etch, remake old items into new, sew, plastic canvas. Guess I am the if it looks like something I like – I will give it a try. This is my UFO year, and, so far, so good! I’ve just returned from a Retreat and made lots of progress on a long-term BOM, Heritage Square, as well as a scrappy adventure with a block called Tiara. I’m thinking of calling the comleted quilt “Crown Jewels”. Another Retreat planned for October, so hope I can keep my string going! No shortage of new projects waiting in my stash, and my mind is always whirling!
