If you’ve visited Flamingo Toes before you know that I am in love with all things Embroidery! And while I usually stick to pretty simple stitches from my projects here, I am always up for learning new techniques and stitches!
I found this Craftsy class and I was so excited to check it out – it is full of awesome Embroidery Stitches and techniques!
If you have been wanting to try out Embroidery or want to work on learning some new things, this would be a great class to check out.
The class shows you how to do flat stitches, looped stitches, knots and tons more! You can see them all done in video format so they are super easy to follow along with. And one of my favorite things? You can always go back and rewatch sections. So if you forget how to do a stitch, you can just look it up for a refresher!
I really liked being able to see a different method for a few of the stitches I already know too – it’s always fun to see how other people make them!
The class also shows ways to transfer your images (even from your own photos!), and how to do embroidery on knits, without them looking all sad and stretched out. I really loved watching how she embellished a store-bought T-shirt with this pretty floral embroidery. I am definitely going to hit up Target for some plain T’s to dress up after this!
I have some great news too! I am partnering with Craftsy for a giveaway! Click the link below to enter to win a Design It, Stitch It class so you can learn new stitches or work on improving your techniques! All you have to do is register for Craftsy and you’re entered! And if you are already registered with them, all you have to do is click the link! So super easy! The giveaway ends on September 19.
Good Luck!!

Years ago I was a “cross-stitch” fanatic! I am a quilter, crafter now, but would like to take up cross stitch again. Thanks so much for your wonderful tips.

To this day, I can still remember how excited I was when I learned how to do a simple chain stitch in home ec in junior high. Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about starting up again, and this class would give me the push I need to go from thinking to doing! Thank you for the chance to win.: )
