I love doing sew along with small projects! This pumpkin pillow is so fun to sew and it is perfect for using up scrap fabrics! I’d love for you to join us in this Fall Pumpkin Pillow Sew along for Week 1!
A few years ago I made up a version of this Pumpkin pillow! This is a free pattern so you can sew along with us and then you will have a cute new pillow to show off in a few weeks!
For this version of the pillow, I used fabrics from my Lori Holt stash! (We all have a stash of fabulous Lori Holt fabrics right? They’re all too good!) The detail fabrics on the pumpkin, leaves and stem are all from Lori’s line, Stitch. I used Riley Blake Linen as the background of the pumpkin and Bee Cross Stitch as my background for the pillow. I used her cute cross stitch print as the backing for the pillow – I love the homey look of it!
Fall Pumpkin Pillow Sew Along – Week 1
Here’s the schedule for the sew along:
September 27 – Cutting and fusing fabric for applique
October 4 – Raw edge applique and detail stitching
October 11 – Sewing envelope back and sewing pillow together
This week we’ll be starting with the cutting and fabric fusing so we can prep everything before sewing.
I can’t wait to see your versions of this cute pillow!!

Love this pumpkin pillow! I’m going to start it today and I am behind the sew-along as usual, this time because of back issues, but it’s any easy one to catch up on. Thanks for these tutorials!
