Father's Day is just around the corner! But let's face it, Dads need celebrating more than once a year!
So I took Doug down to World Market for a little early shopping for Father's Day Gifts – and he had so much fun (we both did) browsing around!
We both loved checking out all the globes that World Market is carrying now – as well as these awesome Map Letters. Traveling is one of our favorite things to do as a family so we'd love to add some of these to our decor!
We also LOVED that large bookshelf in the photo – that ladder is too awesome. But when it came down to it – the Food Section and the BBQ & Grilling aisles were where we did all our shopping!
Doug picked out some much-needed new BBQ tools, along with a super yummy selection of salamis, brockwurst, and olives. I also found some Garlic Olive Oil that I knew would be perfect for a pasta salad. We were ready for a summer barbecue!
That Rectangular Grill Grid is perfect for all kinds of things – especially things that could slip through the grates on the grill. We broke it in with some yummy roasted vegetables.
They were super easy to do too. I chopped up some mushrooms, 1 1/2 bell peppers and three zucchini. I then poured a little of our new Garlic Olive Oil over the veggies and seasoned them with some grill and italian seasonings. That's it! They just cooked on the grill grid for about 10 minutes, the same amount of time as the brockwurst. Doug just stirred them a couple times with his new spatula.
I also made up a quick and easy Italian Pasta Salad – you can check out the recipe here!
To go with the veggies, salad and dogs, I put together a platter of meats from World Market and some cheese and crackers, as well as a dish of their sun dried tomato stuffed olives. (The guys LOVED those!)
We had such a great time spoiling Dad a little early for Father's Day!
