We have another fun week in the Shine Together Quilt Along! This week I sewed up the Brilliant Idea Block for my Shine Together Quilt!
This cute block is by Tara Reed and when I saw it, I just fell in love and knew I had to make it! The little lightbulb in the block is so sweet and I love how well it went with Tara’s print from Hush Hush 3 – the little light bulbs.
If you’re new to the sew along, Riley Blake is hosting a sew along for their Shine Together quilt to highlight their Hush Hush 3 low volume collection. Each week different RBD Designers are sharing alternative blocks for the centers of the stars in the quilt. This week I picked Tara’s to sew and I went ahead and put it in the star. If you’re following along in the instructions, I’m using this for my “M” block. I didn’t make the stars the last two weeks but I’m going to sew up the whole thing each week moving forward.
I am using my Dainty Daisy basic for the quilt and for this block I used Lipstick (the darker pink color), Frosting (the light pink) and then Butterscotch (the gold). Here are my other blocks so far in the quilt!

The instructions on the pattern show how to make the quilt. If you decide to substitute in any of the bonus blocks, you’ll have to cut those out according to the instructions from the designer.
