Isn’t this little Mini Haus Block Shine Together Quilt so cute?? I love house blocks so I couldn’t resist sewing this one up!
Last week, Riley Blake Designs kicked off a free sew along called the Shine Together Quilt. It’s a gorgeous star quilt that highlights their newest low volume collection, Hush Hush 3. And each week they are doing tutorials for the star block of the week, plus designers are offering alternatives! I’m going to sew along with some of my favorite blocks and I just had to sew up this Mini Haus block by Christopher Thompson!
Christopher designed this darling 6″ block to use in the center of one of the star blocks so I used his print from Hush Hush 3 – the little colorful popsicles! I am sewing along with my Dainty Daisy basic and I’m using the new colors that just released too! The roof of the house is my new Stargazer and the side walls are Songbird. I used my Sweet Mint for the window and Alpine for the door. I love all the blues and greens together!

The instructions on the pattern show how to make the quilt. If you decide to substitute in any of the bonus blocks, you’ll have to cut those out according to the instructions from the designer.
