If I keep the necklace for me, I would wear it to remind me there is always hope for my 8-year-old with autism. I might also give it to my soon-to-be 12-year-old. She has CAH (conginetal adrenal hyperplasia), might have diabetes (we are testing now), plus wears glasses and has braces (I know, but she includes this).
