Sometimes I just love a fast project! This Add a Block Pillow Pattern is the perfect way to use an extra quilt block or make something to match your quilt!

This pillow pattern is designed for a 12” block! It’s a quick project that you can use as a scrap buster or you can use leftover fabrics from a quilt project to make up an extra quilt block.
This pillow is shown with a strawberry block from my Berry Market Quilt. The block has the strawberry at the bottom of the block so I used sashing at the top and bottom of the block, instead of just the top. That way the strawberry is centered in the border.

The pillow is easy to customize too! If your background is dark you can choose light prints for the pieced border. And if your background is light, dark prints will look great. You can also add fun trim like the pom pom fringe, or you can add fabric or anything else fun.

This is my Berry Market Strawberry block, and it’s made up in my Melody fabrics. I love mixing and matching quilts and collections. I’m excited to see your versions of this fun pillow!
