We made it to the final block of the 2026 RBD Block Challenge! 🎉 This week’s block is the Kaleidoscope Block from Tara Reed, and I think it’s such a fun way to wrap up the series. I love all the movement in this block — it really does have that beautiful kaleidoscope effect with all the points and angles spinning around the center.

I sewed mine in a soft mix of corals, aqua, and deep blue RBD Basics for a sweet vintage-inspired look, and I love how dramatic this one feels while still working with the rest of the quilt.

It’s a little bittersweet that this is our last block, but we’re not quite done yet! Next week Riley Blake Designs will be sharing the finishing instructions so we can put all of our blocks together into a finished quilt. I can’t wait to see everyone’s quilts come together — it’s been so fun sewing along with you all!

You can grab the free Kaleidoscope Block pattern from Riley Blake Designs, and be sure to join the RBD Block Challenge Facebook Group to share your version. I’d love to see your finished Block 16!
