We’re getting so close to the finish line—just one more block after this one! I can’t believe how quickly this challenge has flown by.

This week’s block is the Center of Attention Block by Heather Peterson, and it’s such a fun one to piece. I love how the design really draws your eye right into the middle—it feels like a little spotlight for your favorite prints. The mix of flying geese and simple piecing gives it that classic star feel, but with a fresh, modern twist.

I had so much fun playing with my soft peachy and aqua palette here. The contrast in the center really makes everything pop, and those outer points frame it all so nicely. It’s one of those blocks that looks intricate but comes together so smoothly.

If you’re sewing along, you can find the free pattern over at Riley Blake Designs. And if you haven’t already, be sure to join the Facebook group—it’s so inspiring to see all the different color combinations everyone is using!

We’re almost there—just one more block to go! I can’t wait to see all of these come together into a finished quilt.
