This week’s block in the RBD Block Challenge is the Majestic View block by Casey Cometti, and it’s such a fun take on a mountain landscape. I love how the angled piecing creates those bold peaks, with the curved corner adding a sweet little moon (or sun!) detail.
I decided to go with an evening-inspired palette for mine, with deep sky tones, soft mountains, and a warm, glowing moon. It feels like that quiet moment just as the day fades and the stars start to come out.
This block is such a great reminder of how much personality you can give a design with color choices alone. Whether you go bright and sunny or soft and moody like this version, it’s a beautiful little scene all on its own.
