Eek! I love Fall.
I had not planned on sharing anything for Fall until September – but I just couldn’t wait! So I’m showing off my sweet new vintage style fabric-wrapped pumpkins today!
These little cuties are all wrapped up with vintage sheets (shocker right?) and then decorated with twine and felt flowers. And I love that I can leave them up from now through November. Yay for multi-holiday decorations!
These are so fast and easy to do too!
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Craft Pumpkins from Michaels
- vintage sheets or other fabric – enough strips to cover each pumpkin
- felt for flowers/leaves
- hot glue
- jute twine
Measure around your pumpkin from one side of the stem, around the bottom, and up to the other side. Cut or tear strips of your fabric, enough to go around the pumpkin. (The amount and lengths will vary based on your pumpkin size).
Hot glue one end of a strip on one side of the stem, then wrap the strip around the pumpkin and glue on the other side.
For the each piece, glue the strip to one side of the previous strip and wrap around the pumpkin, crossing the strips on the bottom of the pumpkin so they’ll lay flat.
Continue wrapping until your pumpkin is all covered. You could also Mod Podge the strips on if you want them to lay super flat against the pumpkin.
Cover the stem in hot glue. Start wrapping the jute with a little spiral on top.
Continue wrapping until your stem and the top of the fabric strips are all covered.
Now you can add a few decorations! I glued on a little strip of crocheted lace just below the jute, then added some leaves and felt flowers.
If you need help with the flowers, check out the How to Do That: Flowers page, it has a bunch of flower tutorials you could use!
I love the simple look of the fabric and felt together!
Now you can make up more, changing up the fabrics and flowers!
I think these are going to sit on my mantel until it’s time to pull out the Halloween decorations!
What do you think? I love them!
You can find all sizes and different colors of craft pumpkins at Michaels.
And here’s something cool – if you don’t have time or want to carve or decorate your own craft pumpkins – Michael’s will do it for you!
You can have custom pumpkins carved, just order by Oct. 13 to have them by Halloween! Check out the details here.
What about you? Are you anxious for Fall to get here?

Good morning Bev. These are so cute and look very easy to do. Where do you come up with all of these great ideas? I am thinking fall already as well. I seem to live my life in the future these days what with always planning ahead for posts, and etsy content, etc. Some times it is hard to remember what the present is.

Love these! I even recognize the vintage sheet used on the larger pumpkin, as it is one of my favorites. I wonder if these would look good with “assorted” strips of fall fabric?? Guess I will have to make them and find out!
Thanks for the great blog, glad I discovered it through Pinterest.
