You guys. I am so excited to show you my Christmas tree today!
I have been wanting to do a vintage tree for years and we just didn’t have the space for it. But now we have this sweet little eat-in kitchen area, that we don’t actually eat in. We’re funny that way. But it’s the perfect room for a little sitting area, and for my new vintage inspired Christmas Tree!
This isn’t our only tree – we still have our family tree – full of ornaments we’ve gathered on trips, received as gifts, or just think are cute. :) But it’s so fun to be able to have a kind of “fancy” tree too!
The tree is a gorgeous flocked tree from Treetopia – I thought it would be perfect for a vintage tree. And I’m so honored and excited to be a part of their 2015 Treetopia Design Council this year. There are 13 other amazing bloggers and I’ll have links at the end of the post for you, so you can check out all their trees – but here’s more details about mine!
I’ve been gathering up vintage ornaments for a while now, all in bright colors. Don’t they look pretty against the flocked tree?
I wasn’t able to find tons of vintage ornaments so I supplemented with some vintageish ornaments. In other words, new ornaments that I thought looked old. :)
The diamond shaped ornaments were so fun – they came in a variety of colors from Target. I also found some long ornaments in bright colors at Hobby Lobby.
My favorites though are these vintage ornaments that look like crullers. Now I need to hunt up some vintage bells and starburst ornaments for next year!
The tree came pre-lit which was awesome, especially since the lights are all frosty and pretty. I added a little more color with some vintage pink lights that have little flower looking tips. They are so pretty!
I am so excited with how it turned out – I just love sitting here (in my cross-stitch chair) and having my coffee – and I love that the tree lights up the whole kitchen!
You can enter to win a Treetopia tree over at Inspired by Charm – and check out Michael’s gorgeous Gold and Green Tree!
Here are links to all the blogs participating in the Design Council! The trees go up all week so if check back often to see them all.

Good Morning Bev,
I am absolutely crushing on your vintage tree. I, too, have collected vintage ornaments (augmented with ‘vintage-y’ ornaments, as well) and love displaying them on their own separate tree. But my tree is a mere 2 ft tall…and pales in comparison to the majesty of your Treetopia tree! I know, envy is an ugly thing, but …I’m envious. Your picked the absolutely perfect tree for your Vintage Ornaments.
And, if one envy is enough, also loving your cuckoo clocks. I have wanted one forever! I would gladly come sit in your kitchen and knit with you…What a great, inviting space.
Thanks for sharing it, Lynn
