You know that I just love embroidery. It’s the perfect relaxing craft for when you want to craft while doing other things. Watching movies, road trips, fixing dinner. . .kidding on that last one. Sort of.
One of my favorite things is coming up with new fun patterns, but also finding new books and other designs – I love new inspiration!
I have a fun new book to tell you about from Indigo Junction – Stitched Style.
Stitched Style is full of 20 Projects & 65 Embroidery Designs to Trace or Iron On Transfer and there are so many ways to spin off the projects to make your own!
Here’s a little about the book from Indygo Junction:
Embellish your world with embroidery designs from Indygo Junction’s Stitched Style. You’ll find 20 fashion oriented projects, featuring 65 unique hand embroidery designs, with over 100 styles and sizes to trace or transfer. The projects feature Crossroads Denim by Amy Barickman, as well as repurposed denim. Bring new life to ready made jeans, jackets purses and totes with a needle and thread. Or create your own one of a kind item from scratch! Never embroidered before? No worries, our materials guide, detailed trace and transfer instructions and stitch dictionary will tell you all you need to know to add some Stitched Style to your life.
The designs featured in Stitched Style were inspired by Amy Barickman’s SoHo Bandana fabric collection with Red Rooster. A longtime collector of vintage bandanas, Amy took those classic designs and updated them for today. Using contemporary colors and stylized designs, bandana has never looked so fresh and fun.
So let’s take a look at some of the projects in the book!
I really love the bracelet ideas. The various stitches look so sweet on the denim – but they’d be great on any fabric.
I love this little card case too! I have been needing to make up one of these for all my store cards. I love the floral design on this one!
This belt is really fun too! It has kind of an Anthro feel to it. I can totally see it paired with a pretty eyelet dress and some boots! Love.
One of the other great things about the book is that if you aren’t into hand embroidery, they have the whole Stitched Style embroidery designs in a machine collection through OESD. So it’s a win win for embroidery fans!
Here’s a little bit about the author, the fabulous Amy Barickman!

WOW! These are wonderful!!!
i am new to sewing and crafting in general. i am currently trying to teach myself how to sew/quilt and crochet. i have several goals this year (making my first afghan and first quilt), one of which is to learn embroidery.
I’ve got to be honest, I just recently inherited my sweet Grandma’s sewing/embroidery stash so I haven’t embroidered yet… I did order a book on stitching for left-handers from Amazon but Christmas and New Year’s prep took over so I am hoping to get started soon! Excited to learn a new craft!
A lot of creative ideas! I would love to win this gift packet!
I want this book!
I’m ready to start stitching and I’ve been pinning lots of ideas. I used to cross stitch and did a few embroidery kits a long time ago.
I had not embroidered for many, many years. Recently I picked up a needle again and tried a few stitches. Boy am I rusty! I would love to get back to embroidery with the goodies in your giveaway. Thanks for the chance to win!
I’ve always loved to embroidery since I was a young girl. Love this book & all the goodies too!! What a wonderful prize!!!
I mostly do small projects so this book is perfect for me! I like doing a bit of handwork on all my gifts – including little cosmetic bags and jewelry cases. It’s so fun!
I absolutely LOVE to embroider! It is so portable, and makes anything more unique. So many folks do machine embroidery (including me to do finishing stitches) but, it is really rich to hand embroider. Currently, I am starting a block of the month tabletopper that has embroidering and patchwork on each one.
This family would so love this sweet prize! Thanks for this fun chance :)
I love to embroider around my needle felting.
I love to embroider pillowcases. Another favorite to embellish with embroidery is tea wallets. I have done large embroidery projects but I like smaller, more portable ones. Thanks for the chance to win.
It has been a long time since I embroidered anything but I really want to pick it up again. I think I’ll start with either some tea towels or some napkins.
I love to embroider wall hangings. I would love to try the projects in this book! Thanks for the chance to win.
I always embroider over anything with a hole or a stain! Denim overalls, shirts I have put a red sauce stain on, everything becomes new again…and funky!
I would love to begin embroidering. With two little girls I think it would be a wonderful skill to personalize clothing with and to then teach and pass on. Some day they will want to sit still and listen to mama, right? ;)
Kitchen towels
Wow – what a great book full of ideas!
I love to embroider felt ornaments – lately, I’ve been making a lot of matryoshkas! :)

I can’t wait to do more. Those bracelets are really cute.
