Spooky and Sweet Sew Along Week 1

This is the first week of the free Fat Quarter Shop Halloween sew-along! Every June, Fat Quarter Shop hosts a fabulous Halloween mystery quilt, and this year, we are making such a cute quilt!

Today, they are releasing Block 1 in the quilt, and this is the Ghost Witch Block! Isn’t she just the cutest? I love her little hat!

I’m going to sew along with this year’s quilt using my Dainty Daisy fabrics. I think they’re going to look so cute and I love how they worked out for block 1. I’m using the Riley Gray color as the background and the Gray on Cream as the ghost print. Then I’m accenting with some of the jewel tones – pumpkin, stargazer, and jade.

I will also note that I made a little mistake in the block! The pumpkin trick or treat bag was supposed to have little angled corners at the base as well. I’m going to fix that before finishing the quilt haha!
