Some of My Favorite Places . . .

One of the best things about living in San Diego is that there are so many fun things to see and do here. And since the county isn’t huge – heading from North County down to the city is a snap!

So I have a little tour here for you of some of our favorite places to hang out – definitely great for date nights, girlfriend days, or whatever!

The Cinepolis is our new fancy-shmancy theater here in La Costa. It has recliners for seats, a full restaurant inside (including chocolate fondue – hello) and lots of the movies are 21 and over. It’s kind of pricey, but definitely fun for a treat!

We just found the Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens in Escondido recently – but we are already in love. They have great decor – half the restaurant is open to the gardens and there is a waterfall, ponds, and more! They have a huge selection of beers that they brew themselves and the food? Yeah. That little beauty in the corner of the collage was Lemon Thyme Creme Brulee with Homemade Marmalade and a Lavender Shortbread Cookie. I did not lick the bowl. Promise.

One of our favorite places to spend time is in downtown Carlsbad in the Village. There are shops, lots of great restaurants (and obviously we’re all about the food), spas, and all within walking distance of the beach. We like to go down there for lunch or dinner and then walk around – maybe get an ice cream cone or shop for books. Or shoes. :) Which I may or may not have done while taking photos to show you.
(if I did, they might have been orange tweed kitten heels with a bow. daaaarling.)

And I am SUPER excited to tell you about what will be one of my new favorite places to hang out – we are getting a new Nordstrom Rack!!

I know. Crazy awesome right? It’s opening in Carmel Mountain Plaza on September 13!! And I can tell you – I will be there on Opening Day!

They are hiding 20 Golden Hangers around the store – and if you find one, you can redeem them for $100 to spend in the store. (Which sounds cooler than Golden Tickets to me!) They’ll be giving away hints that morning on Twitter at @CarmelMtn_Rack!

They’re also having a Race Through the Rack – a sweepstakes they hold before Nordstrom Rack store openings. Customers can enter a drawing to win a 90-second, $2,000 shopping spree. The winner’s name is drawn and announced at 8:30 a.m. before the store opens at 9 a.m. Can you imagine the damage you can do in 90 seconds?? Seriously. Shoe Dept. people. Shoe Dept.

They’re also giving away complimentary totes to the first 1000 purchases plus they’re having a complimentary breakfast and entertainment!
