Now that it’s officially September 1, I am ready to start bringing out the Fall decor! One of my favorite places to start decorating is in the dining room. Today I’m showing off two Simple and Stylish Farmhouse Dining Room Decor ideas!
I love having simple and stylish pieces to use in my dining room that will work for lots of different occasions. These two table settings use some of the same basic pieces, but one works great for every day and the other is perfect for a fall dinner party!
The first tabletop I’m showing off is my every day dinner setting. It’s simple to put together but it still has a really stylish farmhouse look.
Our dining room is right off of the entrance to the house, so it’s one of the first rooms people see when they come in. I like to leave it partially styled, with the table cloth and cute boxwood planters on the table all the time. Then when it’s dinner time I can quickly add the placemats and dinnerware!
I’ve done some shopping at Cost Plus World Market this year to help dress up the dining room a little more as well!
I found this great Black Villa Stripe tablecloth as the basis for both table settings. I love that it’s neutral and will go with anything!
For the tablesettings, I started with the natural fiber placemats and paired them with these pretty succulent napkins. I’m a firm believer in using fabric napkins as much as I can, even just for weeknight dinners. It really dresses up the table I think!
I have basic white dinnerware that I love to pair with pretty salad plates. These green salad plates and grey vintage style glasses look so great with the boxwood planters and the hydrangea flowers on the buffet. Oooh – and I’m kind of dying over how awesome this Olive Bucket I found is – I’ve been looking for an antique one of these for months and there they were, sitting in Cost Plus World Market! It’s a reproduction, but I’m totally ok with that. (I think these are new to the stores – they aren’t online yet but they were in my local store.)
It’s so easy to change things up for more people or even a dinner party!
For the dinner party setting, I used the same basic stripe tablecloth, but dressed it up a little!
I fell in love with these mix and match floral bowls, I thought they looked so pretty with the green plates! I paired them with the burgundy dinner napkins and these colorful floral placemats. The gold glassware really contrast with all the florals too. I love mixing and matching styles and colors.
I wanted to dress up the centerpiece a bit and found this fun farmhouse candle holder! I love the combo of the metal and wood.
It’s so simple to put together a stylish tablescape, just by having a few basic pieces and adding in some fun extras for color and style!
Celebrity Designer Stephanie Sisco has a great video on 3 ways to change up your tablescape too!
Aren’t those gorgeous?
