It’s time for another round of Sew Our Stash! Boy this month snuck up on me – I swear it went by way to fast!
But I made it by the skin of my teeth – and I have a fun new top to show you!
I had picked up this flannel last month and didn’t get to it, so I was super happy to have it this month! It’s still pretty chilly here so I’m all good with still wearing cozy flannel – and it’s a 3/4 sleeve too which I love.
The pattern is the Ruby Top from Made By Rae, with the sleeves from the Washi XL pattern by her also. So we’re mixing it all up here. I found this version and basically did the same thing. Her write-up was super helpful!
I love the way the bias yoke looks and it was super easy to do the lining. I think it makes such a nice finish on the neck don’t you?
I also added in some cream trim under the yoke in front – I can’t seem to make things without a little extra trim. And I love the way the trim looks against the plaid.
I really loved how easy the top was to sew up, and I also really like working with Rae’s patterns. She’s got great instructions, and I like that she offers dress and top versions. I will definitely be making more of these up for color weather too – wouldn’t a lace or eyelet version be pretty?
Make sure you head over to visit Marissa from Rae Gun Ramblings this month – she has a super cute cardigan this month!
Did you make anything this month?? I’d love to hear about it if you did!

I serious JUST cut fabric to make a Ruby top last night! It’ll be the first thing I’ve sewn for myself in ages, so I hope I don’t mess it up! I love the way it looks in flannel and with the washi sleeves (and the cream trim is fab!). Love it!
