It’s Giveaway Time!
It’s been a while since we’ve had a giveaway around here – so I thought it would be fun to participate in Sew Mama Sew’s Giveaway Day!
If you’ve never visited Flamingo Toes before – I’m so glad you’ve dropped by! I love to do so many different things – jewelry, sewing, embroidery, home decor projects and fun accessories! I’d love for you to check out my tutorial pages while you’re here. To give you a little idea of what you’ll find, here are some of my favorite recent projects!
Sew Mama Sew Giveaway Day is such a fun event. Over at the Sew Mama Sew blog there are lists of tons of giveaways – all organized by category. Handmade items for the home, babies, to wear – plus a whole category for Supplies! That’s what I have for you today – a giveaway to add to help grow your stash a little bit!

Here’s a closer look:
I have some fun lengths of ribbon, some fold over elastic in great colors, a huge roll of baker’s twine, and a ginormous roll of rick rack – 25 ft. You could rick rack your whole house.
We also have some pretty summery colors of thread!
And my favorite things . . . 2 Jelly Rolls of Amy Butler Cameo!! Wooot!
Now these aren’t Moda size rolls – there are 30 strips instead of the 40ish you usually get with Moda rolls. But with two rolls you’d definitely have enough for most jelly roll quilts!
I love how fun all the colors are. Makes me want to get some summer sewing going!

I guess my favorite way of creating is… experimenting! No matter the material, if it’s something new to me, I want to try it! Though I must say I’m probably most often trying new recipes in the kitchen.

I am trying to find my ‘inner crafty’ – I have the genes and am even starting to build my own stash so hope to get there and find my thing! I do like collecting fabric…just not positive about what I will do with it!
I think my most favorite craft is still quilting. But new one is “painting” with watercolor/colored pencils.

this is hard to say because i am very new to crafting in any way. i recently started a jewelry/accessory company so it was jewelry. but i am trying to learn new things as i go along. i just bought my very first sewing machine and have completed several small, simple projects. I’m a total craft junkie – I sew, knit, crochet, make jewelry, cross stitch, weave, spin yarn…. It’s hard to say if I have a favorite, but I tend to switch between the various crafts every few months. I have a 6 month old in the house now, so my crafting time is a lot less than it used to be, but I hope to get back into the swing of things soon.

For the past couple of years, doll making has been my favorite craft activity. This year I’ve been teaching myself to sew; haven’t managed to create anything awesome yet but I’m learning :-)

And I love creating things that are practical and beautiful at the same time [house or garden]. Sewing making quilts
My fave crafting is, without a doubt, sewing. I tried it for the first time around 41/2 months ago, and really, really enjoy it!!
I would have to say that my favorite craft is making floral arrangements, followed closely by sewing.
I go in spurts of different types of crafting, but right now my daughter is learning to sew and we are enjoying doing it together.
My favorite is paper crafting either scrapbooking or card making.
